Despite its technology, “ROI” was designed to cover the needs not only of online marketers but of hoteliers as well who they are not keen on technology.
With two simple steps, hotelier can create a new campaign and start tracking the referral links of it.
“ROI” is exclusively connected to the webhotelier booking engine. As soon as the visitor of the site which comes from a pre-defined campaign makes a booking, the ROI collects the booking details and connect them to the previous behaviour of the user providing a full image of revenues and booking details per campaign.
A goal is typically a page in the hotel’s website that provides you with climaxing joy when it is visited by your customers. For most, the ultimate goal page is the booking page. When your customers land on that page, it means they’ve checked prices. Another goal example would be the static Thank You page you’ve set for the contact form.
ROI Manager technical details
In addition to transmitting information to the ROIManager server, it also sets first party cookies on each visitor’s computer. This is used to store anonymous information such as what is the timestamp of the current visit and what was the referrer site or campaign the visitor came from e.g. search engine, keywords, banner or email.
ROI Manager also collects information from webHotelier’s booking engine, and saves information details about a booking action. This data contains name, number of occurring bookings, amount summaries and more.
